Abaco Inn: Boutique Property in the Out Islands of the Bahamas Promises Peaceful Interludes

Located in the uncrowded Abaco Islands, part of the Out Islands of the Bahamas, the Abaco Inn is situated on a small cay with the sparkling Atlantic on one side and the calm turquoise Sea of Abaco on the other. The Abacos island chain in the Bahamas is a boating, fishing, diving, and sailing paradise that attracts travelers from around the world. While just north of Nassau and only 190 miles off the Florida Coast, this bijou property is nevertheless worlds away from the hustle and bustle of large resorts. Travel enthusiasts find serenity on deserted soft, white sand beaches or in the quaint petite village of Hope Town, just a short bike ride or walk away.

All of the inn’s charming accommodations are steps from one of two beaches or the inn’s relaxing freshwater pool that has astonishing views of an azure ocean. A unique offering at Abaco Inn are the beautiful and brand new modern villas that are rented on a weekly basis, on the Sunset Point peninsula. The villas, ranging from 1-4 bedrooms, are private and come with individual boat dock access and privileges to all onsite amenities at Abaco Inn. Delightfully decorated in island style, the villas have spacious bedrooms with King-sized beds, kitchenettes, and private decks. For a cozier experience, oceanside rooms have patio porches with Adirondack chairs, mini-fridges, and en suite bathrooms.

Abaco Inn Restaurant has a variety of wines and cocktails on offer and features delectable local dishes – including the uber-fresh catch-of-the-day – that satisfy every need and taste. It’s a favorite amongst the local islanders as well.

To get to the island, visitors can take direct commercial flights from Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Atlanta, Charlotte, or Nassau, travel on smaller airlines, or charter a private plane. Many of the Inn’s guests come by boat and dock their craft at the inn’s marina.

Tom Hazel, long-standing General Manager at Abaco Inn says, “The saying ‘there's nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it's sent away’ can really be best experienced at Abaco Inn.”

Abaco Inn has just joined the Enthusiast Hotel Collection (“EHC”).

“Abaco Inn embodies the incomparable spirit of the islands, the ocean, and the Enthusiast Hotel Collection,” states CEO Oneil Khosa, whose maritime and cruise industry background is reflected in the properties and locations of EHC. “Like all of our locations, Abaco Inn provides the atmosphere to rest and rejuvenate, reignite relationships, foster new friendships, reconnect with ourselves and nature and above all create lifetime memories.”

All EHC properties are defined by the extraordinary places they inhabit and ready to usher guests into their next adventure. Reaching across the country, from California to Maine and the Caribbean, each hotel offers a distinctive and bespoke experience. Presenting each property from west to east: Brewery Gulch Inn and Spa, overlooking the ruggedly beautiful Mendocino Coast of Northern California, is an arts and crafts masterpiece; Historic Tapoco Lodge is a jewel of a hideaway nestled in North Carolina’s scenic Great Smoky Mountains; the architecturally splendid Hartstone Inn anchors the picture-perfect New England village of Camden, Maine; the adults-only retreat Casa Morada is a sub-tropical paradise along the prestigious and scenic Islamorada coastline in the Florida Keys;  also in the Bahamas, and A Stone’s Throw Away in Nassau reigns regally over the crystalline blue Caribbean with breathtaking views of the beach and town from its traditional wraparound porches. Future expansion properties are planned in San Miguel De Allende, Mexico and Marrakesh, Morocco.
