Angeli Coover - Be Bold

Are you still putting everyone’s needs before yours? Drawing, painting, and experimenting with color has been my passion for as long as I can remember. Then, somehow, life got in the way as I was raising children, assisting my husband in his profession, and helping everyone else follow their dreams. During the day I worked; and in the evening I worked at an art framing gallery to nurture my passion for fine art.

It’s time for you to be bold. Hey, you might not even know what you want, because you have lost who you are and what your dreams were. Today, right now, it’s all about you. You can do this.

Be bold about what you want. Here are three steps on how I figured it out:

1. Make a list of all the things you love.

2. Look at your list and pick one, then dive in. If you love to read, make a list of books you want to read. Make that special place in your home your reading room. Get yourself a cozy lady chair, a big soft blanket, a little table for wine or tea (probably wine). Not too much, or you will fall asleep and won’t read.

2.Schedule it! Everyone has an alarm on their mobile phone. Set it to go off once a week, at a certain time, where you will have no interruptions and can escape from everything. Put it on your calendar and never change it. Me time.

I have a long list of things I love; painting has always been at the top. I painted in workshops all over the country and have been blessed to travel to Italy and paint in a Tuscany vineyard. I have made great friends along the way, and have the best support group ever, including a kick A$$ personal art coach. I was so afraid to take the leap and follow my dreams until a few months ago. I decided it was time to leave the stress of a corporate job behind and follow my dream. Guess what? It’s the best thing that ever happened. I wake up every morning and it is so much freaking fun I can’t believe it’s my life. Gracie, my Golden Retriever, loves the new gig too. xo

To see more of my art follow me this December when I will be joining 54 artists from across the nation for a special holiday art show, 25 Days of Minis. We are all busy in our studios creating small works of art for the best gift giving on the planet, and yes, you will find amazing art to deck out your new dream room. Beginning Wednesday, December 1st, fifty-four paintings will post each night at midnight EST for 25 days. Be sure to visit my website and sign up for my newsletter. I will have a collection of bold flowers and share fun holiday cocktails and recipes. Don’t miss it!
