East West Partners recently announced the launch of sales for Phase II of The Waterfront Daniel Island, a second collection of residences at the luxury mixed-use community. Offering direct, unobstructed views of the sprawling Wando River, the three newest buildings slated for Phase II of the development – named the Sabal, Magnolia and Camellia buildings – will feature one, two, and three-bedroom residences with a total of 41 units available. Ranging from approximately 1,220 to 3,400 square feet, each of the floor plans in the second collection feature outdoor living terraces, elevated finishes, and the community’s best river views, with some penthouse units available. Pricing on the 41 units in Phase II ranges from $600K to $3.6M. In addition to the residences, this second collection will also feature exclusive amenities for homeowners living in the new buildings, including a shared, elevated outdoor courtyard for residents of the Sabal and Magnolia buildings and an outdoor terrace and gathering space called The Perch for residents of the Camellia building, which overlooks the marsh and offers direct access to the island’s 25+ miles of walking trails. Acclaimed Charleston-based interior designer Betsy Berry provided the aesthetic vision for the Phase II collection, with classic, timeless décor inspired by the surrounding coastal environment.


Just south of Daniel Island and the Charleston peninsula, East West Partners broke ground in the fall of 2021 on The Cape at Kiawah, located within the highly sought-after luxury destination Kiawah Island. With its pristine, last-of-its-kind oceanfront setting, The Cape on Kiawah spans 14 acres and 1,000 feet of prime beachfront, the largest of any development on the island. Poised as a year-round retreat of sea, sand, marsh, and river, the community offers the first whole ownership luxury residences on the island in 40 years. Currently under construction, The Cape on Kiawah is expected to be complete in 2023 with a total of 78 distinctive, coastal-modern residences across six buildings. To date, nearly all of the 78 residences have been sold, surpassing $259M in sales and making it one of the most successful developments in East West Partners’ current portfolio. As with many of its properties, East West Partners is committed to sustainability and stewardship throughout The Cape community with resource-efficient infrastructure, energy-efficient materials, and utilities.



However, East West Partners not only excels in the thoughtful, environmentally friendly development of coastal communities, but the firm has also led the responsible redevelopment of historic buildings in Charleston’s urban center, including a current project at 71 Wentworth in the heart of downtown. The iconic building, which celebrates its 150th anniversary in 2022, will feature a revitalization of a circa-1872 architectural gem into an enclave of 12 luxurious residences. The historic revival includes residences, located in the three-story, mixed-use building’s upper two floors, and a full exterior building restoration, a tribute to its original, 19th-century appearance. Originally designed by 19th-century Charleston architect John Henry Devereux, 71 Wentworth was constructed by Freemasons to serve as the Grand Lodge of Ancient Free Masons of South Carolina. Built in Tudor Gothic Revival style, its richly molded and arched windows soared as high as 18 feet tall with cathedral ceiling heights of 20-40 feet. For the renovation, East West Partners is working with acclaimed interior designer Cortney Bishop and architect Kevan Hoertdoerfer to breathe new life into this historic property.
