I could hardly believe I finally had the opportunity to sneak a peek, as they consistently receive so many favorable reviews, it was time that I experienced it for myself. This grand 5-star hotel exudes Belle Époque charm combined with modern design aesthetics, making it a favorite destination for discerning travelers seeking opulence and grandeur. The property overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and is adjacent to the iconic Casino de Monte-Carlo. It’s situated amidst luxury boutiques, fine dining restaurants, and cultural landmarks, offering easy access to the vibrant heart of Monte Carlo.

Upon entering the Hotel Hermitage Monte Carlo, I was immediately captivated by the grandeur of its interiors. The lobby sets the tone with its high ceilings adorned with crystal chandeliers, intricate moldings, and a palette of rich, warm tones. The décor seamlessly blends classical elements with contemporary touches, creating an atmosphere that is both welcoming and majestic. Marble floors, plush furnishings, and antique artworks are strategically placed to enhance the aesthetic appeal. Natural light floods many of the hotel’s common areas, illuminating the lush greenery and providing a tranquil spot to relax.

I had heard so much about the hotels thermal pool area, part of the Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo spa that I made it one of my first stops on my exploration of the property.  It is considered a haven of relaxation and rejuvenation. This luxurious spa spans over 7,000 square meters and offers an extensive range of wellness treatments. The thermal pool itself is a stunning feature, with its warm, mineral-rich waters providing therapeutic benefits. Surrounded by elegant loungers and lush greenery, the pool area is a perfect place to unwind. The steady flow of guests taking advantage of the facility was proof of the restorative effect it offers. It is a destination within itself. 

In addition to the thermal pool, the spa offers a variety of other facilities, including a sauna, steam room, and hot tub. Guests can indulge in a range of treatments, such as the La Prairie Caviar Instant Lifting treatment or the Maxi-mineral exfoliation wrap and massage, all performed by highly trained therapists using premium products. The spa also features a fitness center equipped with the latest equipment, ensuring guests can maintain their fitness routines while enjoying their stay.

Situated in the lobby, the Limùn Bar is a perfect spot for a light meal or afternoon tea. The elegant décor and suitable seating create a relaxed environment where guests can enjoy a selection of pastries, sandwiches, and beverages throughout the day. I could have sat here for hours just ‘people watching’. It offered me a glimpse into a world of affluence, glamour, and cultural diversity. There were so many well-dressed guests and visitors, exuding sophistication and style.
