Santa Barbara’s newest luxury property, Hotel Californian, has unveiled its new Moroccan-inspired spa concept, Majorelle. Having just opened in September, Hotel Californian is located adjacent to the city’s vibrant Funk Zone and steps from the Pacific Ocean and the Amtrak Station.
Under the supervision of talented Spa Director Emma Spencer, the 2,500-square-foot Majorelle at Hotel Californian, features an exotic, geometric blue-and-white tile lounge, together with four treatment rooms including one couples suite, steam rooms, an expanded fitness center and manicure and pedicure stations as well as waxing and reflexology services. In addition, Majorelle’s staff offers blowouts, updos and professional makeup application. The name Majorelle was inspired from the distinctively Moroccan blue found in the traditional tiles, windows, and doorways of Marrakech, which evokes a sense of active tranquility.
