Mischief Superyacht

The 54-meter superyacht Mischief was launched in 2006 by Italian shipyard Baglietto and was regularly refitted, with the latest renovation in 2018 by internationally celebrated interior designer, Blainey North. North’s uncanny ability to push conceptual boundaries provided a new design life to the interiors through editing and reconfiguring the existing spaces while upgrading design components throughout. She employed a fresh nautical-inspired palette of teak wood, white, dove grey and a range of blues, with bold accents of North’s staple hue, International Klein Blue, a rich ultramarine first mixed by French artist Yves Klein.

On the exterior, a total makeover included finishing the hull in a deep Prussian blue. On the deck and inside, bolts of color add interest to the modern teak and glossy white fittings, which replaced the timber-on-timber scheme.

The spaces are fashion-forward rather than formal, inviting relaxation and enjoyment, indicated by sexy, glamorous finishes and elegant furnishings, many custom-designed by North herself. The main salon features a large marble bar, with back-lit mirrored wine and glass racks - a theme repeated within two of the cabins. A collection of large scale black-and-white fashion photography offers edgy moments of visual delight throughout.

Dialing up the glamour, the introduction of chrome in furnishings and fittings creates a counterpoint to the wooden paneling. Marble for the floors was sourced personally by North in Carrara, Italy to ensure unique pieces with a strong directional veining that add character to the space. Ceilings were lacquered with a high-gloss white, paired with white carpeting and leather wrapped panels adding a luxurious dimension to the space. “I wanted to curate a space that permits enjoyment and entertainment, while also providing a high-end and sophisticated experience to all passengers aboard Mischief,” said North.

Available for a maximum of twelve guests, the upper deck sky lounge is yet another bright white space, with curving glass bays inviting guests out to the dining and eating areas on the aft deck. One of the VIP cabins also enjoys this vantage point. The full master suite lies forward on the main deck, with two further large doubles and smaller twins on the lower deck. These twin rooms are ideal for children, and provide accessible entertainment for all ages aboard. The twin cabins also convert to super kings in the case there may be a full group of adult couples on board.

The inflatable slide allows guests to slip off the bow, then climb back up via the over-water climbing wall. Or take to the floating pontoons from the stern where guests can relax on loungers right on the water, take out a jet ski, seabob or paddle. Mischief is a bright, light and stylish superyacht with a cheeky yet sophisticated ambiance.

The yacht features an ultra-modern stabilization system that reduces roll motion effect and ensures the ultimate comfort throughout the cruise. With a cruising speed of 14 knots, a maximum speed of 17 knots and a range of 4,500nm from her 90,000-liter fuel tanks, Mischief is the perfect combination of performance and luxury.

Mischief is a crew charter yacht and is currently available in the cruising areas of Saint Barthelemy, The Virgin Islands, Saint Martin, Bahamas, Antigua, and the Caribbean.
