RH Reimagines a New Modern

Debuting more than 50 exclusive collections from internationally renowned designers, the 2024 RH Modern assortment features the most significant reimagination since its inception in 2015. The refreshed assortment pays homage to 20th-century modernism, featuring visionary pieces from esteemed industry icons embodying the brand's design philosophy of equilibrium, symmetry, and impeccable proportions.

The cover of this year's Modern Sourcebook introduces the Boson chair, an iconic creation by Patrick Norguet for Artifort. Norguet, whose works grace the collections of esteemed museums worldwide, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, presents a masterpiece available in premium leather or luxurious fabric upholstery. The chair, distinguished by its flared wingback and concave saddle seat atop a modern swivel base, merges plush comfort with streamlined elegance.

In an exclusive collaboration with the estate of Harvey Probber, RH Modern presents three reissues of original and highly collectible designs from one of the most influential modern furniture designers of the 20th century. Probber is renowned for challenging conventional seating norms and pioneering modularity. Deep Tuft embodies playful extravagance and comfort through rhythmic sculpted curves; Cubo Raked exemplifies bold form, while Mayan epitomizes postmodern expressiveness. Each of these collections captures Probber's visionary essence.

With a creative process described as a collision of function and poetry, Filippo Piotti'sdebut collection for RH, Isola, draws inspiration from island formations. It offers sculptural seating with adaptable back cushions for customizable arrangements and perspectives. Fully modular, Isola redefines seating versatility.

Mulholland, the latest collaboration between Thomas Bina and Ronald Sasson, showcases wire-brushed American white oak with individually applied reeds, creating an interplay of texture and tone.

Bringing an architect’s eye to his designs, Pietro Franceschini's debut collection, Brioni, infuses classic Italian design with bold geometry and artisan-crafted European oak, highlighted to reveal its organic patterning.

Claudio Bellini, an award-winning architect and designer from Milan, presents two new collections: Bora, which merges beauty with functionality in European oak with a continuous wood-grain pattern, and Trieste, which celebrates refined forms through European white oak and cane panels, adding warmth and texture.

Leon, by Nicholas and Harrison Condos (Sydney), has an asymmetrical beveled-edge profile in Canadian Douglas fir. Line Svendsen (Norway) introduces three collections: Noma, boasting Scandinavian cleanliness in wire-brushed American white oak; Leo, making a statement with its sloped arms and cradling barrel back; and Rocha, elegantly perched on a conical base for aerodynamic poise.

Mira, the inaugural collection by Kar Durán and Miguel López (Barcelona), features a dramatic, enveloping silhouette with a curved high back and deeply tufted interior. Dalia, a collaboration with Emilie Ceriez (Belgium), showcases richly grained American white oak in a graceful interplay of form and function.

Designer Julie Lawrence (Virginia) debuts Ciro with richly textured hand-cast metal hardware that provides a counterpoint to the design’s compound curves. The piece is crafted of European silver fir and finished to highlight its dramatic grain.

Finally, driven by a “less is more” philosophy, designer Line Svendsen (Norway) offers three new collections: Noma, which reflects a clean Scandinavian sensibility with rounded contours crafted of wire-brushed American white oak; Leo, a striking barrel-back chair with raked legs; and the Rocha chair, which features an aerodynamic silhouette perched on a conical base.

Characterized by sculptural curves, bold forms, precise lines, and captivating textures, these collections debuted in RH’s renowned Sourcebook, on RH.com, and in RH's immersive Design Galleries across North America and Europe earlier this year.
