SBE, the leading global lifestyle hospitality group, announced the Los Angeles expansion of Katsuya with the addition of S Bar in Brentwood, Los Angeles. The mixology focused lounge is situated next SBE’s first award-winning Katsuya restaurant that first opened fifteen years ago, and will soon be expanding globally.
The much anticipated S Bar debuts its sultry lounge, offering innovative cocktails paired with a Japanese Katsuya-influenced menu curated by SBE Chief Culinary Officer Martin Heierling. The space features an indoor-outdoor experience featuring al fresco dining, offering an enjoyable happy hour environment that will smoothly transition into an evening of socializing under the stars.
A beautiful private dining room is also available for exclusive dinners and event bookings as an extension of the Katsuya dining room, offering the Katsuya Brentwood menus. S Bar Brentwood is part of sbe hospitality group led by CEO Sam Nazarian, designed by Avenue Interiors and developed by Dakota Development.
Celebrities such as Camille Kostek and Marta Pozzan, Brody Jenner, Jacob Elordi, Paul Oakenfeld and many more attended the lavish opening cocktail event which is an extension of Katsuya Brentwood, a top sushi and Japanese eatery in Brentwood frequented by Hollywood elite regularly such as Tom Hanks, Ben Affleck, John Legend, Harry Hamlin and Lisa Rina, Christian Bale, Kat McPhee and David Foster, Cuba Gooding Jr., Adam Sandler, and many more.
S Bar’s mixology-based, refreshing and welcoming atmosphere concept, which, like the original Miami locale, will draw from the energy and vibe of each patron that inhabits the space. The venue will offer fresh ingredients, efficient methods, and creative cocktails that are as pleasing to the eye as they are to the palate with enticing names inspired from classic hit Hollywood movies and songs such as Purple Rain, Sleepless in Seattle and Stairway to Heaven.
Guests will enjoy a hybrid menu of signature Katsuya cuisine reflective of S Bar’s overall aesthetic created by SBE’s mastermind Chief Culinary Officer, Chef Martin Heierling. The menu, guaranteed to wow guests, will consist of vegan and meat items, sure to impress.
S Bar Brentwood officially reopens Friday, June 19 following closure for Covid-19 and along with its sultry cocktail menu described, will now feature Katsuya’s cuisine menu to patrons both in the interior dining room and exterior patio. Favorite menu items include their signature Baked Crab Roll and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice.
A Hollywood classic persona, originally conceived by Philippe Starck for SLS Brickell, evoking the spirit of an artist’s gallery, S Bar will offer Brentwood an intimate neighborhood lounge, striking the perfect balance between cultured sophistication and raw elegance.
